CD Sunday Challenge - 'Seasons'

Hi everyone,  hope you are enjoying your days.  My card for the CD Sunday Challenge was made up from the Docrafts Tatty Teddy CD. Now, I hope the ladies will forgive me for thinking outside the box - although the theme is 'seasons' I was thinking of making a masculine theme card, and the cricketer made me think of the term CRICKET SEASON. But a flowery card is in the making!

I have not used the CD much, although some gorgeous toppers, I always seem to think they come out a little too cute for adults, and I don't have many children to make cards for!  I do blog hop frequently and came across a lovely blog called 'Made by Sandra', and I like how she takes elements and layers them up.  I feel it makes the card look more 'grown up', and so I thought I would give this a go.  So, finally, if you are still with me, here is my card :-)
The papers were chosen and cropped, and the tag was made using the digi punches, and the topper was laid on the tag, which saved a lot of fussy cutting.  All the elements were laid out onto an A4 sheet to print out, so quite economical.  The sentiment was also from the CD - and just a few diecuts and background stamping to complete the card.

Bye for now - Lynn x

  2. Cricket always makes me think of summer - "the sound of leather on willow" really says summer to me". You've made a gorgeous card, and it's a great way to use a digital crafting CD, making layers rather than a flat card

  3. A great card for the cd sunday challenge, cricket is very summery isn't it.
Just wanted to say re the superimposing - you need a graphics programme like serif or mycraftstudio - you can't do it in the cdrom!

  4. I love this and the layering, good choice of paper too, I also agree with Linby, you should try Serif's craft artist, so easy to use and you can did it all within the program.

  6. A great layout and I love that you have gone with cricket season. My dear Dad used to play cricket at the weekends when I was growing up so this evoked memories of happy times.
