Butterfly Challenge 26 - Patterned paper and butterflies

I am just about in time for Mrs, A's Butterfly Challenge, and I really wanted to use my new butterfly dies from SU.

Aren't they gorgeous?

I have used the paper players sketch for inspiration.  The patterned papers I have used are from Pink Petticoat new collection, Floraline Linen.  As I have used a snippet of silver mirror board, I shall scoot over to the Snippets Playground too.  See you all soon.  Happy Crafting. Lynn x

Mojo Monday 389

Hi everyone, it has been busy at my neck of the woods so I haven't posted for a few days.  Hope all is well with you all.  I have used the Mojo Monday sketch you see here as my starting point for my wonderful mum's birthday card

Here I have used pattern papers from Pink Petticoat, along with the new Mums Sentiments.  The flowers are SU Secret garden. Thanks for looking.

Hexagons and butterflies challenge 25 - Take two

Hello, on this beautiful sunny day!  I have another card for Mrs.A's Butterfly Challenge:
For this one, I embossed my garden green cardstock with the hexagon folder, and I die cut a template to sponge a background in Pear Pizazz and Wild Honey.  Stamped on a Penny Black stamp, and used various die cuts - job done! I do like the green and honey tones on this one.
As I have used snippets of card stock for the embellishments, I shall pop over to the playground with this one.  Hope the guard dog doesn't get hold of it and rip it up! :-) Thanks for looking. See you soon.

Butterflies and Hexagons challenge 25

Hi there.  After missing the last butterfly challenge I thought I would be early this time around.  So Mrs. A has chosen hexagons together with the butterflies.  I thought I would try a new technique this time (new to me anyway).
I used my emboss folder to make this watercolour effect background.  I inked up the emboss folder on the side where the name appears with TH distress inks broken china and bundled sage.  Spritzed the folder with water and laid the watercolour paper on top and pressed the ink into the paper.  Left it to dry naturally.  The stamps are from SU and Clearly Besotted.  Added a few pearls and some glitter glue.  I am quite pleased with the background and will use this technique again.  Thanks for looking.
