Butterfly Challenge No. 6

Hi there, this next two weeks Mrs. A. would like to see glamorous butterflies - glitter and shine.  Here is my card.
This is the best photo I could get, and it still does not capture the glitter on the butterflies (big sigh).  This box card fits into a 15x15cm envelope - the first one I have made, but will try again as I will do things a little differently next time.  The flowers are a mixture of petite petals from SU and Marianne dies.  The butterflies were from the SU sizzlits die.  The snippet of glitter card happened to match perfectly with the design paper, so that is how this card came about.
I'll flutter over to the Butterfly Challenge page now, and will be back later in the week with another card.

As this uses up snippets for the flowers, as well as the butterflies, I am going to put my wellies on and jump in the puddles over at the Snippets Playground. Lynn x

Rudolph Day in April

Hello on this very wet April 25th.  Here are my cards for Rudolph Day over at Stamping for Pleasure.

These cards were inspired by a previous Mojo Monday sketch, and the embossing folders and sentiment are from Crafter's Companion. The real red card stock is from SU, and for me this is a proper christmas red. - simply gorgeous.
Thanks for looking, and Sarn has produced some cute robin redbreast cards - take a peep. Lynn x

Sunday Snippets week 121

Hope you all had a relaxing Easter break.  Here is my card for the Snippets Playground:
This uses the SU Wetlands stamp set and chevron ribbon.  Apart from the base card, all the other bits were snippets. (Hm, it looks as if this little gander has trodden down the grass lol, will have to put that right).
Have a good week. Lynn x

Sketch Saturday 305

No post for a few days, then three turn up at once, lol!  Just a few hours to join in with this week's Sketch Saturday, so here is the sketch and  my card:

This card shows a Penny Black stamp and sentiment, a cloud embossing folder, and a little bit of machine stitching.
I hope you all have a relaxing Bank Holiday.  Lynn x

Fusion Challenge - flowers (or maybe not!)

This is the sketch and photo for the Fusion challenge, and I chose to follow the sketch.

No flowers! I saw a banner.  This card uses - SU products, framelits and petite banners stamps and punch, and gorgeous grunge.  The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted.
I might go and try a flower one now - the challenge is open until 22nd April if you feel like playing along.

Butterfly Challenge 5 and Snippets Playground

Hi there, I am certainly enjoying the Butterfly challenges.  This time around, it is to use a charm on your card, as well as a butterfly.  Here is my card:

This is a gatefold card, and cut away the edge with a circle die.  The butterfly charm I made from shrink plastic.  It is stamped with 'Butterfly Beauties' from the Stampman.  The flourishes are a Marieanne design, and the flowers are made from SU clay and molds.  The sentiments are from SU Perfect Pennants. and the design papers are also SU.
As this card used scraps of cream and coloured card, and my bit of shrink plastic, I will be going over to say hello the Parsnip and the playmates in the Snippets Playground.
Thanks for looking - Lynn x

balloons and bunting

Hi there, I have been busy making a batch of birthday cards, and thought I would like to share them with you.  This one does not look so garish in real life - mainly SU products.  The embossing folder is a Crafter's Companion one.

The card below uses the SU Wetlands stamp set.
This next card uses a Clearly Besotted Birthday set for the balloons, and the bunting is made from the SU petite banners.  A very useful stamp set and punch, I think.
Thanks for looking.  Lynn x

Butterfly Challenge - Yellow card

Just in time again this week to play over at Mrs. A's Butterfly Challenge, where she wants to see a yellow card, with a butterfly.  So I decided to make my Easter cards.
I have used the new SU Petite Petals and coordinating punch, Marianne swirl die, and the new download papers from Pink Petticoat called Pretty Printemps.  As this card also uses lots of my scraps, I shall be trotting off to the Snippets Playground.
