Joy fold card and snippets

Hope you all had a good weekend - we have finished decorating the bedroom at last! Not my favourite thing to do.  I have used the tutorial in this month's Quick Cards magazine, which was done by Jules - you can see one of her creations here, to make a joy fold card.  I think this design may be one I will use again.  Thanks Jules.

The papers are Parkers Pattern Papers from Stampin Up.  Now it does look like an explosion, and this card is for my son, who is not particularly fond of too much colour - but I thought at least he's not wearing it, it is just standing on the mantlepiece, lol.  It does look better in real life, but I may just try again with different design papers.  As the papers used up snippets I'm off to play in the playground

  3. I'm loving these different card folds that I'm seeing tonight at the Playground. This card has such a Southwest feel to it, and I'm sure your son is going to love it. Even with all the colors (as you said he's not into too much colors)...it still has a strong masculine feel to it. Perfectly beautiful I say. TFS
