Good evening everyone. I am entering this card into the Spectrum Noir Monthly Challenge. It is the first time I have entered, but I thought I would give it a go. Here is my card:
This is a lovely Penny Black Mice Birthday stamp. Sorry about the shadow on the ribbon, although it does make it look double layered. Here I have used a diesire die from Crafters Companion, which is a border die to the accordian dies to act as a frame. The card base is a 6 inch square, with the front made into a fold-back card.
The colours I have used with the Spectrum Noir alcohol pens are FS4, TN3, TN5, EB3, EB6, and then blended with GB1. The cupcake - PL3, BP1, LY1 - and the frosting was given a layer of Sparkle pen clear overlay. Thanks for looking, and I have put a link to the Spectrum Noir Challenge if you feel like joining in - but get your skates on! Lynn x

CD Sunday Challenge - 'Seasons'
Hi everyone, hope you are enjoying your days. My card for the CD Sunday Challenge was made up from the Docrafts Tatty Teddy CD. Now, I hope the ladies will forgive me for thinking outside the box - although the theme is 'seasons' I was thinking of making a masculine theme card, and the cricketer made me think of the term CRICKET SEASON. But a flowery card is in the making!
I have not used the CD much, although some gorgeous toppers, I always seem to think they come out a little too cute for adults, and I don't have many children to make cards for! I do blog hop frequently and came across a lovely blog called 'Made by Sandra', and I like how she takes elements and layers them up. I feel it makes the card look more 'grown up', and so I thought I would give this a go. So, finally, if you are still with me, here is my card :-)
The papers were chosen and cropped, and the tag was made using the digi punches, and the topper was laid on the tag, which saved a lot of fussy cutting. All the elements were laid out onto an A4 sheet to print out, so quite economical. The sentiment was also from the CD - and just a few diecuts and background stamping to complete the card.
Bye for now - Lynn x

Friendsgatheringink challenge and Snippets playground
Another post on the same day! Amazing! The challenge which Rina set us was to ink up a sky and clouds. You can find a video on her blog HERE. I am also entering this card into the Snippets playground. (Challenge 212) I have paperpieced the balloon with some snippets, and also snippets of black card for the houses and trees at the bottom of the topper. This balloon is a die which I won on the Snippets challenge, and
Butterfly Challenge and CD Sunday
Good Morning. I have been busy trying to use my Serif Craftartist Professional programme, and I thought I would include Mrs. A's butterfly challenge for Inks and a butterfly. This is the result -
The CD Sunday challenge was "wildflowers", and so I used a free kit called 'Mother's Day'. I still like to build my cards up and so I used a daisy image which I used as a stamp onto the yellow paper and printed that out, and I printed out the floral paper which goes with it. So that is the CD part. I then stamped a butterfly in versamark ink and embossed in black. I then used my marker pens to colour in the image. Thanks for looking. I am off to link up now. Enjoy your day. Lynn x

Thumping technique and a visit to the Playground
Hello there. I have recently taken up the challenge by Rina to join her 'learn new techniques for 2016' on her facebook page. Her lovely blog is HERE. The first technique was the "thumping technique" and you can find a short video on her blog.
I used a scrap piece of whisper white cardstock, and a lovely Sheena Douglas tree stamp. I stamped with soft suede to start with and then I thumped three different shades of green marker on the stamp - a bit of a huff, and this is the result.

As I have used pieces of offcuts for the stamping and matting, oh, and a small piece of shrink plastic for the leaves - I shall enter this into Di's Snippets challenge. Have a good rest of the week. Lynn x

FMS 219
Hi there, hope you are all well. It certainly has been a mad couple of weeks. I am finishing off some wedding invitations, and the time certainly goes by quickly. I have used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches this week to make a card for my friend as it is a big birthday next week. (My turn for the same big birthday next month! Eek!
It all looks a little bit crooked, but it is the angled shot - honest.

HAPPY NEW YEAR
Happy 2016 everyone. I hope that you all have a good year. I saw a lovely quote, which I have pinned onto my vision board, and I would like to share it with you:
I hope that this quote, or parts of it, connect with your feelings. Have a good day.
