Butterfly challenge # 35 - tallisman

Hello there, hope you are enjoying a brand new week. I did not think I would be able to take part in Mrs. A's challenge this week as I wasn't sure I had a tallisman (charm).  However, I delved deep into my old stash and found a handbag charm, and then I went from there.  Here is my card.

The handbag charm gave me the colours, and the idea to use the dress-up framelits dies from SU and also the butterfly die.  The banner stamps are from the Kimono range from Crafter's Companion.  I just had enough scrap ribbon to match the coastal cabana colour.  The backing paper and the paper for the butterfly are from Pink Petticoat Floraline design.  I quite enjoyed putting this little card together.  Have a good week.

  3. Hi Lynn

A great card .. .. love the blinged up dress form and your colour choices very much.

You asked what weight of card I use for my envelopes .. .. I don't actually use card .. .. just a good weight of paper .. .. say around 130g or 160g. Sometimes this is just from a paper stack or something I may have printed myself. Because my cards are so small I only need to start off with a 6" square piece.

Have you ever looked at PDA Card and Craft http://www.pdacardandcraft.co.uk/
    or Craft Creations
    http://www.craftcreations.com/Default.aspx?SectionID=1 ?

I can normally find most of what I need at one or other of these .. .. and I think both sell brilliant sample swatches so that you can look at the various weights and colours before you buy.

    Hope that helps.

    Enjoy your day.

    Love Jules xx
