Sketch Saturday and 'Fun in the Sun'

I visited Viv's blog *here* and she had entered a gorgeous card for the Crafty Cardmaker's challenge 'Fun in the Sun' (Viv is a design team member).  I immediately thought of my newly purchased beach papers and tiny sentiments from Pink Petticoat, and thought I would join in the fun.  Here is my card -
I have used the current sketch from Sketch Saturday for the layout of my card. The image is from Stampin Up 'Sail Away', and the die-cuts are Spellbinders - quite old now I think. Although I have never tried sailing, I am sure it would be a pleasant 'fun in the sun' activity :-)  Time for me to link up to the two challenges now.

  1. What a gorgeous card Lynn. A great design for the menfolk - who are always tricky to make for.
I shall come on the sail with you if you like. No boat I am afraid though!

  2. Really like this stamp Lynn - and a great card - glad you were able to join us this challenge and hope you'll become a regular!

  3. Paper, embellishments, everything ties in together so beautifully.

    Thanks for sharing with us

  4. A lovely card, great colour scheme. I haven't tried saling either but it looks like a lot of hard work to me!! Thanks for playing along at Crafty Cardmakers. Good luck! Sharon x

  5. Fab card!! I love your adorable little seahorse and wave die cuts :) I also love the papers that you have used , I bought these from PP too but have not had a chance to use them yet lol
