I had to get my thinking cap on for this challenge of Mrs. A's. This week she would like to see a doily used on your creation - either a bought doily, template or die cut. Here is what I came up with:
Now this card was inspired by one I had seen and put on my pinterest board - which had die cut letters spelling out 'love', and it reminded me of this die cut I had not used for some time. The doily I folded in half and machined part-way up intending the stitching to be a butterfly trail. Then I saw my delicate doilies stamps from SU and used one of those, and the birds from Clearly Besotted. Which inspired me to make a tag with the words 'be mine' on which I tucked inside the heart pocket. The butterflies are my well-used sizzlits die. And so, to me anyway, a valentine card was created - a far cry from what I had in mind! Hope you play along and enjoy the challenge. Lynn x
Love the background colour of this card - great layout too!
ReplyDeleteThis is really stunning, Lynn! I love your Valentine card in the nontraditional minty color. That little pocket for a sweet tag in your pretty doily is really inspired!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteI love your interpretation of my theme. The tag tucked into the doily is a fab idea and looks great. Love the stamped doily too and such a pretty colour way. Thank you for fluttering by my #7. Hugs Mrs A. (Butterfly challenge).
ReplyDeleteThis is so very soft and pretty! Love the tag idea...
