Deconstructed sketch 95

This is a new challenge for me at Deconstructed Sketches, but I did like the sketch, so thought I would give it a go.  The base card and ribbon (soft suede) are Stampin Up, and the papers and sentiments are from the CD colour my world by Jayne Bentley 'It's a Mans World collection'.
and here is the sketch:

Seize the birthday #11

A feminine card for Seize the Birthday this week, using this sketch.
Apart from the ribbon, all the supplies are Stampin' Up.  As the beads were still out from another challenge, I put some onto the butterfly for the body.  As all components are snippets, apart from the base card, I shall put this card into the Snippets Playground.  Thanks for looking x

Less is more - Beads

Week 112 at Less is More, and they wish to see beads.  Now, I have had some beads in my stash for ages, so I dug deep in my craft draw.  I have used backing papers from Uniko Studio - background builder papers, and the horizontal strip of paper is from Pink Petticoat, Isabelline papers.  The beads I sewed onto my card using metallic thread, after I had paper pierced.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up.
As the horizontal strips of card are snippets, I shall put on my warmest, hat, scarf and mittens, and hop over to the Snippets Playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

Seize the Birthday #10

Masculine card for Seize the Birthday this week.  I have used Parker's Pattern Papers from Stampin' Up.  The base card is from the Regals collection, and the stamps are 'Make a Cake' and 'Beautiful Birthday'.
Hop over to see what the Design Team have created. x  Edited 19.3.13  I have noticed that my cake is leaning over, lol - that will teach me to post late at night.  Also I thought it was lacking colour compared to the DSP.  Over on the right is the edited version with an upright cake in brighter colours, and finished off a little differently.  I feel more comfortable with this card now.

Birthday wishes

I have used Parker's Pattern Papers from Stampin' Up on this card and the chevron stamp from the 'Oh Hello' set. The sketch is a past sketch  from Mojo Monday.  Thanks for looking - hope your Monday has been good. x

wonderful mum

What a beautiful Spring day today - hope you have all enjoyed it.  I have made my Mother's Day card for my wonderful mum.
I have used a Sizzix embossing folder, Baja Breeze SU cardstock, various circle dies, and the sentiment is one from Pink Petticoat.  A bit of glamour dust, a heart charm and some bling adds the finishing touches.
As the circle dies use up some of my snippets, I shall be entering this card into the Snippets playground.

As the papers are snippets, I shall run over to Pixie's Crafty Workshop snippet playground.  Join in with both if you can. Have fun x.

It'a all about the accessories

I feel really pleased with myself this morning, I have cleaned the oven (yuk) - not wonderfully clean, just two notches up on the de-coked scale, lol.  And I have put the finishing touches to this card.
The image and papers are from Pink Petticoat (Lola Rose and Springtime).  The 'celebrate' is also from PP (Happy Birthday;s). Metallic thread, bag charm and a bit of bling to finish it off.  Enjoy your day. x

Pixie's Crafty Workshop snippet challenge #60

Just finished off a card for the Snippet's Playground this week.
I have used SU in-colour card for the base and Comfort Cafe DSP for the design of the card.  The snippets I used for the flower which is a Bigshot die.  Love the new brads from the Spring/Summer SU catalogue, and I just happened to have a self-adhesive pearl the right size to fit in the middle.  Sentiment is from Pink Petticoat. Thanks for looking, and have a good week. x

Thanks for looking.  Have a good weekend. x

Snippets playground #58

I used this week's Clean and Simple sketch 226 as the inspiration for this card, just turned the sketch around.  I have used snippets of SU design papers, some paper piercing and SU Greenhouse Garden stamp for the flowers.  Hope someone has got a bonfire in Di's snippet playground - its a bit chilly around here!  Have fun x

I saw a Youtube video for a 10cm square pizza gift box, and I thought I would have a go.  This is how it came out, and inside are some yummy Love Hearts Squashies.  Link for instructions here. Have fun!, and thanks to 'Shonz' for the share.

The sentiment die cut is a Sizzix die.

Less Is More and Seize the Birthday

Happy 2nd Birthday to Less Is More!  This week the challenge is to use Kraft and Kreme, and the sponsor is the lovely lady from Pink Petticoat.  Well, haven't played along for a while, but as I have been playing with the PP kraft and neutrals collections I thought I would join in.  I used the Seize the Birthday sketch as inspiration, and this week it is for those pesky men cards.
As Less is More is a clean and simple style I have used scoring and paper piercing for the central panel on the card to give a cleaner look.
I printed onto white cardstock the biscotti colour from the natural neutrals collection, and the image was a digi stamp from TeddyBo printed onto vintage cream.  The kraft card is kraft paper 3 from the organics kraft collection.  Font is 2peas squish. Thanks for looking, and have a good week. x

Valentine

I was looking through my new Quick Cards mag at the card school, which was to put a mini envelope topper onto your cards - template and sample cards by Julie Gibbs.  Then I was blog hopping and saw this sketch on Try Stampin' on Tuesday
then this card came together

I have used paper collection from Pink Petticoat called Old Fashioned Girl (half price), and finished off with metallic thread and a heart charm.  I was going to enter this card into the challenge at Try Stampin' on Tuesday, and realised that I have not actually stamped, the sentiment in the mini envelope is a digi sentiment from the PP collection!  Ah, well ... another time.  Thanks for looking. x
Edit:  I am entering this card into the Snippets playground as the mini envelope is a snippet from a previous make.  Thanks for the nudge Di. xx

Seize the Birthday #3 - Girlie card

Another challenge has quickly come around for Seize the Birthday, challenge 3 already!  This week is a new sketch for a feminine card.  I have used a Mo Manning image and papers from Pink Petticoat, Spring collection.   I love the sanded solid colours in this collection, so it allows me to use a coloured insert to match the card, just because I can!  Have a good weekend everyone. x
