The top bird stamp uses watercolour pencils. I stamped the stamp in grey archival ink this time.

Housemartins
Hello there, I thought I would just check in and share some colouring I have done recently. I had drop through the letterbox a gorgeous Claritystamp stamp from the stamp club - a Housemartin. I really like bird stamps, but I do get put off using them as my colouring is not that good. However, I decided to have a play, prior to making a card. Here are the results: The stamps on the left uses Spectrum Noir pens, and the one on the bottom right uses Stampin Up marker pens watered down on watercolour paper.
Which one do you prefer? And if you have any suggestions to make, regarding colours, that would be great. Lynn x

CD Sunday Challenge - colour challenge
Hello. Happy Friday - here is my project for the CD Sunday challenge, chosen by Wynn.
These little chicks made me think of Easter, and so I made an Easter basket.
I used a sheet of A4 card which I printed on both sides using two different paper designs from Funky Hand Papercraft factory 'Dreams come true' CD, choosing the 'Just Juicy' colourways. I then followed a video using the WR Memory Keepers envelope punch board. Cut out some flowers from the left over card, and covered with sparkle. I think I will make a few of these little treat baskets. Please join in the challenge if you can - you have another week to think about your project. Have fun! Lynn x

Just checking in
Hello there, I am just having a play with some colouring mediums at the moment, so no new card to show as yet. However, I can now share my Mother's Day card -
This was done at a Stampin' Up class with the new rose die. Superb isn't it?! This is now on my wish list, and I will have to cross my fingers that it will make it into the new catalogue. The sentiment was made with ClarityStamp letterbox kit. I'll be back at the weekend, until then, happy crafting. Thanks to all who stop by my blog and leave happy comments. Lynn x

Butterfly challenge 49 and Snippets wk 219
Hi there, I hope your Monday is going well.
I think it has felt as cold as the ski slopes today. Here is my card project for Mrs. A's Butterfly Challenge which is Glitter and/or the colour grape.
Now the flower and butterfly topper started life on a card, but then I spoilt the card. So I managed to save the topper, and with the bits left from the card, I decided to make a book mark. Inventive, eh!
I will also enter this into Di's Snippets Playground - remember folks, only one entry a week for this.

2 challenges and tatty teddy in disguise!
Hi there, it's a bit chilly and breezy here! I have a card for CD Sunday Challenge and Sketch Saturday.
This sketch was the start for my 'thank you' card which is the challenge until this Sunday at CD Sunday Challenge. I used my new Funky Hands papercraft CD, and the papers were from the 'Dreams Come True' , 'delightful fun' colourway. I coloured in with SU markers. The spotty papers was the perfect match for the SU colour strawberry slush, pink pirouette and taupe, so I was really pleased!
Thanks for looking, and I really do appreciate the lovely comments that visitors leave. Lynn x

CD Sunday - 'Thankyou'
Hello there. The CD Sunday challenge is very appropriate this time around, as I do have some thank you cards to make. Carol has chosen this theme. I was so pleased to have my 'seasons' card picked as a top 3, so thank you to the team for my prize which I received today - it won't be long before I shall use it for a project!
This card was used using Serif CraftArtist Professional 2. I chose a 5x5 fold card template, and used the embellishments from 'Eccentric Carousel', a free digikit. The text was done with the text tool using 'Harlow Solid Italic' font, and I even managed to use the shadow tool. I am slowly finding my way around the programme. A bit photo heavy post, but I thought I would show the finished project in its entirety. HAPPY CRAFTING!

Birthday flowers and a card for the Snippets playground 217
Hi there. Ooh, I had a lovely surprise on Saturday. My children had organised a surprise meal out with the family for my BIG 60th birthday, which is tomorrow. We had a wonderful time - and I also received some gorgeous flowers.
I'm the one in the specs on the left, and the two young handsome men are my sons.
Now, on to the card. Here are my snippets
And this little card just sums up the way I felt on Saturday! Happy crafting. x

Hand stamped sentiments challenge
I came across Hand Stamped Sentiments blog, and decided to have a play as the current challenge is a colour challenge, and I just so happen to have those colours.
So, here is my card. I decided to use my hearth and home framelits, and Love Blossoms DSP from Stampin' Up.
The rose red is supposed to be in the flowers, but I watered down the marker a little, so I hope this still counts for the challenge.

CD Sunday challenge
Hello there. A gorgeous, sunny day here - I hope that wherever you are, you will be just as lucky.
My card is for the CD Sunday challenge, which this time around is to use a button or buttons on your project.
I have used the CD from the Crafter's Companion Inspiration 9 magazine from the Country Life collection. This was a card companion, and I cut the elements out and decoupaged to make the flower, and then die cut around one element and made it into a button. Thanks for looking.

triple layer stamping
Hi there, I thought I would post my attempt at triple layer stamping which I have posted on the Friends Gatherink Creative Challenge page.
As I have used some recycled tissue paper, which I saved from some packaging for the butterflies, I shall visit the snippets playground to see how Sarn and Parsnip are getting on while Di is taking a break.

Snippets playground wk 215
Just popping in with a card which was inspired by one of my pins. I have used the Petal parade stamp set from Stampin' Up, which I have not really used. So many small elements to this stamp set, so while it is on my desk I think I shall play some more.
The edge die was cut from a scrap of whisper white card, as were the flower and leaves, so this card is being entered into the Snippets playground. Thanks for looking.

waterfall card
Happy Sunday. I have a waterfall card to share with you today. I have never been really successful with this type of card, but Rina from Friends GatherInk Creative shared a video on her blog, and I thought I would have another go. And here it is:
I changed the dimensions slightly. I could not get a good photo with all the layers open - and I didn't think to take photos before I put it all together. Hiding are a tiger, lion and a cute fox. Thanks for looking.

Rina's reflection technique and Snippets Playground
Hello everyone, such blustery weather we are having, which put me in mind of the stamp I have used on my card. It is a SU stamp and lended itself well to the reflection technique which Rina has made a video of.
You can just about see the reflection of the boat - I must admit I had a bit of trouble getting a reflection as I was missing quite a bit of detail. But I think this just about works. Quite a lot of 'huffing' involved with this technique! Rina has kindly decided to carry on with her technique challenge, so if you fancy joining please visit her facebook page. As I have used bits of my white cardstock to stamp and die cut this card will be visiting the Di's Snippets Playground.

Spectrum Noir Monthly Challenge
Good evening everyone. I am entering this card into the Spectrum Noir Monthly Challenge. It is the first time I have entered, but I thought I would give it a go. Here is my card:
This is a lovely Penny Black Mice Birthday stamp. Sorry about the shadow on the ribbon, although it does make it look double layered. Here I have used a diesire die from Crafters Companion, which is a border die to the accordian dies to act as a frame. The card base is a 6 inch square, with the front made into a fold-back card.
The colours I have used with the Spectrum Noir alcohol pens are FS4, TN3, TN5, EB3, EB6, and then blended with GB1. The cupcake - PL3, BP1, LY1 - and the frosting was given a layer of Sparkle pen clear overlay. Thanks for looking, and I have put a link to the Spectrum Noir Challenge if you feel like joining in - but get your skates on! Lynn x

CD Sunday Challenge - 'Seasons'
Hi everyone, hope you are enjoying your days. My card for the CD Sunday Challenge was made up from the Docrafts Tatty Teddy CD. Now, I hope the ladies will forgive me for thinking outside the box - although the theme is 'seasons' I was thinking of making a masculine theme card, and the cricketer made me think of the term CRICKET SEASON. But a flowery card is in the making!
I have not used the CD much, although some gorgeous toppers, I always seem to think they come out a little too cute for adults, and I don't have many children to make cards for! I do blog hop frequently and came across a lovely blog called 'Made by Sandra', and I like how she takes elements and layers them up. I feel it makes the card look more 'grown up', and so I thought I would give this a go. So, finally, if you are still with me, here is my card :-)
The papers were chosen and cropped, and the tag was made using the digi punches, and the topper was laid on the tag, which saved a lot of fussy cutting. All the elements were laid out onto an A4 sheet to print out, so quite economical. The sentiment was also from the CD - and just a few diecuts and background stamping to complete the card.
Bye for now - Lynn x

Friendsgatheringink challenge and Snippets playground
Another post on the same day! Amazing! The challenge which Rina set us was to ink up a sky and clouds. You can find a video on her blog HERE. I am also entering this card into the Snippets playground. (Challenge 212) I have paperpieced the balloon with some snippets, and also snippets of black card for the houses and trees at the bottom of the topper. This balloon is a die which I won on the Snippets challenge, and
Butterfly Challenge and CD Sunday
Good Morning. I have been busy trying to use my Serif Craftartist Professional programme, and I thought I would include Mrs. A's butterfly challenge for Inks and a butterfly. This is the result -
The CD Sunday challenge was "wildflowers", and so I used a free kit called 'Mother's Day'. I still like to build my cards up and so I used a daisy image which I used as a stamp onto the yellow paper and printed that out, and I printed out the floral paper which goes with it. So that is the CD part. I then stamped a butterfly in versamark ink and embossed in black. I then used my marker pens to colour in the image. Thanks for looking. I am off to link up now. Enjoy your day. Lynn x

Thumping technique and a visit to the Playground
Hello there. I have recently taken up the challenge by Rina to join her 'learn new techniques for 2016' on her facebook page. Her lovely blog is HERE. The first technique was the "thumping technique" and you can find a short video on her blog.
I used a scrap piece of whisper white cardstock, and a lovely Sheena Douglas tree stamp. I stamped with soft suede to start with and then I thumped three different shades of green marker on the stamp - a bit of a huff, and this is the result.

As I have used pieces of offcuts for the stamping and matting, oh, and a small piece of shrink plastic for the leaves - I shall enter this into Di's Snippets challenge. Have a good rest of the week. Lynn x

FMS 219
Hi there, hope you are all well. It certainly has been a mad couple of weeks. I am finishing off some wedding invitations, and the time certainly goes by quickly. I have used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches this week to make a card for my friend as it is a big birthday next week. (My turn for the same big birthday next month! Eek!
It all looks a little bit crooked, but it is the angled shot - honest.

HAPPY NEW YEAR
Happy 2016 everyone. I hope that you all have a good year. I saw a lovely quote, which I have pinned onto my vision board, and I would like to share it with you:
I hope that this quote, or parts of it, connect with your feelings. Have a good day.
