Crafty Snippets Challenge - week 44

Well for a change this is not a christmas card - lots of birthdays for me in November.  This one qualifies for the Snippets challenge at Pixie's Crafty Workshop as I have used all the bits left over from my textured card stock, and the various bits of cream card I have lying around.  The stamp is from Stampin' Up 'Need for Speed'.  Off to play in the playground now - hope Di has put central heating in that tree house.
(photo is a bit blurry, sorry - this is my third time of trying and I give up now!) :-) x

Freshly made sketch challenge 57

Just about made this post for FMS. My card uses Pink Petticoat herringbone paper and a cuttlebug embossing folder, and SU! butterflies sizzlits embossing plate, with SU! salutations stamp. This is a lovely sketch, and the card came together really quickly.  Will use this again.  Thanks for looking. x
This is my card, and a little sneek peek inside.

Pixies Crafty Snippets challenge no. 41

This little thank you card is made up of my snippets, apart from the design backing paper which is Raspberry Road Christmas Collection.  Stamps are Stampin Up young vermillion and fresh vintage, and the salutation is Penny Black.  This card is of course going into Di's Snippets challenge, and then I get to play in the playground.  The new tree house is looking very tempting :-).  Please join in if you can.

Pixies Crafty Workshop snippet challenge 40

Hello there playground chums, again this week I made two christmas cards, and this is the third card made from the snippets of the last two.  I have got 9 cards in my stash now - such a long way to go.
If you are new to the snippets challenge, pop over to Di's blog and you are more than welcome in the playground.
The card uses Papermania backing papers, various nestie dies and Stampin' Up Season of  Joy stamp set (which is now retired, but I bought it in the sale!).  A bit of Glamour dust, and some machine stitching, and job done.  Have a good week everyone. x

Simply Stampin' Challenge - Faux or sew

I have used the soon to be retired stamp from Season of Joy stampset, coloured with poppy parade, peach parfait and pear pizzazz markers.  I machine stitched in pillar box red. The theme at Simply Stampin' Challenge is to use sewing on your card or faux stitching, and as I have used a Stampin' Up stamp and markers I feel that this card qualifies.  As this card is the third one to be made from this design paper, it is definitely using up all the snippets and so this will be entered into Pixies Snippet challenge #39.
Thanks for looking. x

Rudolph Day - September

Well, I really need to get cracking making Christmas cards as I only have 2 made so far!!!! I am entering this pair of cards into Sarn's Rudolph Day challenge.  The backing papers are Papermania, and the stamps are Stampin' Up Season of Joy (soon to be retired).  I cannot get the green to look right in the photo, it is more of a lime colour.  Thanks for looking x

I have used the Clean and Simple sketch this week to make a start on my Christmas cards.  Backing paper is Papermania Mistletoe Kisses, and stamped with a stamp from Stampin' Up Season of Joy stamps.  Finished off with Diamond Sparkles and a die-cut from the Papermania kit.  Thanks for looking. x

Baby Girl

I was asked to make a card for a baby girl's Christening - my first Christening card ever :-)
As usual in these cases, I never have the right image, so I hopped onto Mo's Digital Pencil and chose this image.  Papers are from Pink Petticoat http://www.pinkpetticoat.co.uk/index.php, and embellishments from local craft store.  Thanks for looking. (The baby girl in question had a brilliant day, and was all smiles). xx

Retro sketch 26

I have used the sketch by Danielle from Retro Sketches, and used papers from Pink Petticoat.  The circles are cut with nesties, and the bowling pins I had to make a template for.  Some wonderful designs made by the design team.  Take a look here. Thanks for looking. :-)

Sweet Summer

Sweet Summer - no, not the UK kind, but the Stampin Up! kind.  This card is for Di's playground snippets (challenge 35) and Stamping 411 (challenge 270).  I have used their sketch, and the stamps and papers are all SU.  More importantly, all the papers were snippets, and even the gems were recycled! x

Less Is More - Theme, Tearing

Hope this card is CAS enough.  The vertical strip is a 'Sue Wilson Special' which I was reminded of on Julia's blog here, to tear up and ink and emboss masking tape. Stamps are TH, and used faded jeans and spiced marmalade distress inks. Check out the Less Is More blog to see what all the Limettes have made of this challenge. x

Sunday Snippets challenge 34

Hi everyone, my card this week shows my snippet flowers and leaves - have at least used up some cream cardstock.  The card has been inked with antique plum, and brad and backing papers are from Stampin Up. All the superb snippet cards can be found here on Di's Pixies Crafty Workshop.  Have a good week.  x

Freshly Made Sketch 48

This sketch is designed by Tui, and this is my take on it.  I have used Portobello Road design papers, and washi tape.  The digi is from Digital Two for Tuesday, and the buttons are from a Marianne die. Thanks for looking. Do call over to the FMS blog for some great inspiration. x

Portobello Road

Two cards which uses up some of my Portobello Road papers, and stamps.  The card on the left was made by my son who was inspired by a card layout in QCME Issue 103, and I made the card on the right, inspired by the card layout of Ruth Southorn in Issue104.  All I have to do now is find a challenge I can enter them into :-) xx

Snippets challenge 33

Yay, at last I have made it to the Snippets challenge over at Di's.  Well, this card was made after seeing the paper folding techniques in this month's Quick Cards mag.  I will also have a go at the wobble cards which Jules has made for her feature in card school, as soon as I find out where all the playground pals have hidden the compasses! (*smile*).  Apart from the card base, all the rest are snippets, and the brad I must have had for about 12 months.  The design papers are double-sided SU!, which I have had for a while now, but nearly finished them off. Happy crafting everyone. xx

Gardner's shelf

Hi everyone, woops, its been a long time since I last posted.  Work has just got in the way I'm afraid.
I made this card using the new colours from Pink Petticoat which Jules kindly told us about on her blog.  This colour is the new Cafe Creme, and I have used a digi stamp from Just Inklined which I coloured with promarkers.  The plant pots are a Sizzix die.
Have fun in the sun everyone! xx

Wedding card

I thought white on white would be fine - not sure about layout though. Digi image is from Digistamp Boutique.
