One Layer Wednesday - challenge 53
Found this challenge blog for making one layer cards OLW and have been following it for a few weeks, and have just decided to take the plunge with my first card. This week it is for New Home, with at least two colours. I decided to break out my new Clarity Stamp and brayer. The background is distress inks broken china and bundled sage which I brayered through a mask onto the card, and then stamped houses in archival black and used watercolour pencils. The script is computer generated, and I used my nesties to draw the box - at least I know I get 90 degree corners then. :-) For those of you who visit here, please check out this OWL site. Have fun. x

Less Is More Week 12 - Recipe 'off centre'
Well, Lady LIM Chrissie and LIM Diva Mandi, have come up with the recipe of 'off centre' for cards this week - cards with little or no symmetry but perfect balance - Now there's a challenge!
I normally do 'off centre' but not deliberately. Anyway this week I chose a digi image from Digital Two for Tuesday, which was a cottage image, but I have cropped it down, and cropped out the watering can and made it slightly bigger for the focus of this card. I watercoloured with my dye-based Big and Juicy Spice and Sunset pads. Sentiment is computer generated. May try another card this week. I am waiting for a new stamp to play with :-)

Less is More - Challenge 10
Thanks to Mandi for telling me how to correct my photos!
Over at Less is More this week, the challenge is to use a sentiment as a focal point on a card. I came up with this - eventually. Not sure whether the rose red heart detracts from the sentiment, but I don't think the eyes dance around the card as the sentiment is in line with it. This is the third attempt and I'm sticking with it *smile*. The hearts are stamps from Crafters Companion 'Love' set 1, and the sentiment is a new design by Claritystamp. Some wonderful and creative cards by the LIMettes. Well done everyone! x

Flowers for April
This card is for several challenges. I had started to colour this image from Bugaboo (Friday Freebies - Sceneit) and saw the challenge for Daring Cardmakers which was daisy and sweetpeas for April - just the job. Over at Less is More the challenge is 'a touch of red' - ooh, ladybirds. At St. Luke's Charity Card Challenge - their first - and a worthwhile cause so please take a look - it is 'flowers'. An ideal digi stamp! This card will be packaged up and sent to the charity along with another card. Happy Crafting! x

Anything but a card
I made this little backpack from a tutorial over at Splitcoast stampershttp://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/results/c4aa61e9554acebe23fbf4611f27d51a/http://
I think you have to register as a member, but it is free to join. Although the bag looks complicated it is very easy once you have downloaded the template. Have fun.

Slider card
So here is my slider card. I have used Stampin Up stamps for this one and mixed and matched two stamp sets, Flight of the butterfly and Greenhouse Garden. I did have some help with this one as I could not remember how to place the card on the mechanism. The card is Stampin Up - pear pizzaz and peach parfait. The top picture is the back of the card, and the last picture is the front of the card (oops!) Thanks for looking :-)

Daring Cardmarkers - Steampunk!
http://daringcardmakers.blogspot.com/
Clockface stamps are Barbara Gray, Sundial corner stamp by Pennyblack. The script is a freebie from Craft Stamper. Images were embossed in gold and the steampunk images were free downloads from steampunk magazine. The background was brayered with Big and Juicy Spice stamp pad. Cogs and springs came from a dismantled old watch. My first steampunk card! The time this card took I learnt one thing, Tempus Fugit!
